The Pioneer designed MC-3 Personnel Assembly (also referred to as the Pioneer Para-Commander) is specifically designed for use by highly qualified free-fall parachutists where accurate group assembly of parachutists upon landing is mandatory.MAIN PARACHUTE FEATURES24 foot (7m) diameter canopy, incorporating turn slots on each side, rear vents and front offset skirt. Stabilizing panels extend down from skirt on opposite sides of the canopy. Also included are a pull down vent and a sleeve deployment system. The pilot chute has a 40 inch diameter canopy with 6 gores and spiral spring. RESERVE PARACHUTE FEATURES. The MC-3 Free-Fall system uses a chest reserve assembly with a 24 foot (7 meter) diameter flat circular canopy. The MA-1 pilot chute includes a spiral spring and ejector disc. The reserve parachute pack includes an oxygen cylinder pocket.HARNESS and CONTAINER FEATURESThe MC-3 harness uses ejector snap closureson both chest and leg straps. The harness assembly uses lanyard pull canopy releases. The MC-3 container assembly is a 4-pin free-fall type with a ripcord protector flap and a ripcord housing clamp assembly.
